Finding Your School

Your residential address will determine your neighborhood school(s) your child(ren) will attend. The LCSD1 website has an interactive school/triad map where you can easily find your home school when you enter your residential address. This map link can be found here District Triads and Interactive School Map – Laramie County School District 1 (laramie1.org). If you plan on living on base and are on the base housing waiting list, you may register for the schools that serve on-base residences. For on-line school registration, you may enter the base lodging office address as your residence while you are living in temporary quarters on or off base. *Please note that if you register for these schools and are temporarily living off base, you will need to provide transportation to and from school until you are living on base. *You will also need to provide a letter from the base housing office that verifies your status on the housing wait list. The base lodging office address that you may use in your on-line registration until you are in base housing is:

  • 110 East Plaza
    F.E. Warren AFB, WY. 82005

LCSD1 does accept requests for boundary waivers if you would like your child to attend a school that is not your neighborhood school. Information on how to submit a request for a boundary waiver can be found here Information Systems – Boundary Waiver Form 2024-2025.pdf – All Documents (sharepoint.com). The district will approve waivers as they are able, but there is no guarantee. If a boundary waiver is approved, you must provide your own transportation to and from school.

Homeschool

More than three percent of the American student population is educated in the home. In Wyoming, it is estimated that in 2022, 2,885 students were homeschooled. Each year the WDE has seen an increase in families who choose to educate their children at home. A home-based educational program in Wyoming must meet the requirements of a basic educational program pursuant to the Wyoming state Statute 21-4-102a. Homeschool information can be found on the Laramie County School District 1 (LCSD1) website. Here is the link to the Homeschool page where you can find the Homeschool Packet to download and complete: HOMESCHOOLING – Laramie County School District 1 (laramie1.org).
