The RecOn (Recharge for Resiliency) program that is available to all Active Duty Air Force and Reserve personnel as well as their family members. The RECON program is run specifically out of Outdoor Recreation and offers tons of discounted trips and events each and every month. At F. E. Warren we are an Air Force leader in RECON trips offered. Have a season pass or your own lift ticket? Own your own gear but you don’t want to brave the insane weekend traffic? Sit back, relax, and let us do the driving for only $25. You can catch a ride with any of our day-trips all season long.
Reservations are accepted on pavilions, campers, boats, super cookers, bounce castles, and special events tents up to one month in advance. Credit card deposits are required at time of reservation are equal to a one-day rental. Cancellations made less than 48 prior to pick-up will forfeit deposit. All other equipment is on a ‘first come-first served’ basis.
48-hour minimum cancellation notice is required on all reserved items (including OAP trips). All cancellations made within the 48-hour time period are subject to a one day rental fee on reserved item.
RV Storage ODR manages the on-base RV storage lots at the intersection of Mule Deer and Booker Roads. Storage fees are $30 for back in and $40 for pull through per month. Receive a monthly $5 discount for paying for a full year up front. Registration/check-in is completed at the ODR office. Payment is due on the first of each month. A $5 late fee is assessed to each lot after the 10th of the month. Patrons intending to vacate their lot must check out with ODR prior to the beginning of the month to avoid rental fees. In the event the RV storage lot fills, a priority waiting list is available. All stored vehicles must be mobile, insured, licensed and registered.
OCTOBER – MAY: We are now offering Off-Season Parking at Fam Camp for unwinterized campers and RVs. Cost is $100 per month. Vehicles must be unoccupied, electric only,
All three of the lakes on base are available for fishing. Centennial Lake, located just inside the Gate 1, is catch and release only. North and South Pearson Lakes, located just past the Golf Course on Rogers Road, is catch and keep (restrictions apply). Some areas of Crow Creek require both a base license and a Wyoming State fishing license. Annual permits can be purchased at ODR and are good from January-December of the year registered. The Base Lake Pavilion is located at South Pearson Lake off Rogers Road and is available for year-around rental. It features an enclosed meeting/dining area; ten 6’ tables; 2 outdoor charcoal barbecues; an outdoor playground, volleyball pit and restrooms. The Famcamp Pavilion is located southwest of Ft. D.A. Russell Campground is available when weather is favorable. This pavilion features a covered picnic area, several 6’ tables, restrooms, and situated near an open grassy field, nearby Crow Creek and the base archeological center. Cost is $65 per hour.
Functions in which alcohol will be present require a 90 MW Alcohol Letter, available from ODR. Please allow at least 7-days prior to event to complete coordination of this letter. A cleaning fee equivalent to a 1-day rental will be assessed to those leaving the facility unclean. All Pavilion rentals must be checked in and checked out with ODR staff.
Outdoor Recreation provides rental equipment, discounted ski tickets and base fishing permits, paintball, an Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP), two base pavilions – one at Fam Camp and on Lake Pearson (can be used year round), recreational vehicle storage areas, as well as a 125 site FAMCAMP facility.
Equipment rentals include hundreds of items for your use from fishing boats, canoes, campers, super cookers, tents, fishing rods, mountain bikes, metal detectors to high performance snow skis, snowboards, snowblades and two jump houses.
Outdoor Recreation carries discounted ski lift tickets for almost every ski area within a 300 mile range saving the military skier 10 – 50% off resort prices.

Outdoor Adventure Programs encompass an array of thrilling activities throughout the year. OAP will take you on breathtaking hikes and camping excursions, pulse-pounding white-water rafting or a scenic canoe floats, you’ll enjoy lazy fishing trips, mountain bike adventures or take a day-trip with your family to Water World and Elitch Gardens Amusment Park in Denver, Colorado. Winter trips will find you on the finest ski resorts in the country whether you are a beginner or expert, skier or rider nothing beats wearing yourself out on the slopes and leaving the driving to the professional OAP staff.

Fishing on base requires a base permit which is available at Outdoor Recreation with three lakes available for fishing. Centennial Lake, is stocked with large mouth bass, blue gill and crappies and is catch and release, and North and South Pearson Lakes, located just past the Golf Course on Rogers Road, is catch and keep.
FAMCAMP is located on base along Crow Creek. Reservations can be made 30 days in advance by calling (307) 773-3874. A hospitality center houses the camp office, handicap accessible restrooms, laundry facilities, and Wi-Fi. All sites are full hook up – water, sewer and electric 30-50 amp.
